5 Months Old

Paige is 5 months old today. She is doing so many new things it is amazing. Scutting all over the place, she is trying to get the hang of crawling. She gets her knees under neither her and then pushes a little and then stops. I think it will be within the next month and she will be crawling. She wants to move so bad.
She is eating oatmeal, barley or rice cereal and sometimes some bananas, yams, butternut squash and applesauce. She likes everything but the applesauce for some reason. Bananas are her favorite though. She started using a sippy cup, that took no time. She pretty much did it all on her own.
She is playing and holding onto her toys better. She has discovered her feet too.. She will suck on them and talk it is funny.
The other day she sucked on her thumb too.. so not know if it was a one time thing or if she is going to start doing it.. she has only done it the one time. Ben does not want her to suck her thumb because he doesn't want to have to break the habit.. will see.
She officially has her first tooth breaking through, you can see the white and it is sharp as hell. lol! I think this is why she has been more grouchy the past week and she has been wanting to sleep a lot more too.

1st Halloween

For Halloween Ben was able to get the day off work so he decorated the house most of the day to get ready to scare kids again. Adam and Vanessa came over and the neighbors Jimmy and the kids to scare kids also.
We bought 2 more foggers for this year so between Adams and ours we filled our yard, it was pretty crazy. Gavin our neighbor hid in the grass wearing black and grabbed peoples ankles.. and made all kinds of people scream. lol!
The boys all scared people too, Adam was scream and stood next to my front door and everyone thought he was a statue, Ben stayed behind our black tarp at the front door and used a pan and pot this year to bang and scare people.. We had a lot of screams, more then last year.
I think there were a lot more people tricker treating this year then last too. We had a lot of people say our decorations were awesome and they are definitely coming back to our house next year.. funny!

2 1/2 months - Laughing and Rolling Over Videos

She is getting more and more of a personality everyday, I love it! She is being very voicetress these days too, some of it winy trying to get a control on that now before it gets worse.
This last week she is not wanting to take any naps either so that has been really hard on both of us because she gets that fussy tiredness going but doesn't want to sleep, I think she doesn't want to miss anything and that is why she doesn't want to sleep.
But other then that everything is going good.. she is as busy as can be.

Paige rolled from her back to her tummy yesterday completely and no one even saw it because we were all eating.. bummer. But she rolled over this morning and I got to see it, so cool to see her experience new things. Makes me very happy.
Just wanted to share the newest thing she did... very proud mommy. :)

Our 1st Wedding Anniversary

We went to Palm Springs for our wedding anniversary this last weekend without Paige. It was our first weekend away from her, she stayed at my parents house.
I was a nice weekend away, much needed for both of us. We just relaxed by the pool and drank. Then went to dinner that night and then just went back to the room and went to bed to ketch up on some sleep. The first night I have slept all night long since having Paige that was really nice.
Paige did really good with grandma and grandpa they said.
Now that she is a little bit older we can start leaving her for the weekends away. :)

3 Months

Well my little girl is 3 months old today. She is such a big girl already. Last night was day 3 in her crib, which has been really hard on mom but it is nice to be able to have my room back to be able to get ready for bed and watch some tv. Before had to just be quiet, had to go watch tv in the living room or just go to bed with her. The first night in her crib we swaddled her because that is what we have been doing still and when I went to go check on her at 4am her back was all sweaty and at 7am when she woke up the swaddle blanket and her bed we wet from sweat, so that was the end of the swaddle. Then night 2 in her crib we did footed pj's and she was up pretty much most of the night because she had her hands and feet all going 100 miles a minute because she wasn't swaddled and wasn't use to be able to move around, so it was miserable for both of us, but I told myself to tough it out because she wouldn't learn any other way. Then last night back into footed pj's and she slept so much better, took an hour and half to get her down but once she was she only woke up 4 times till morning. Yey!! I am very happy about that so hopefully in a week she will be totally use to her bed and sleep most of the night without waking up.
She was playing with Ben on Tuesday and she was laughing at him, it was so cute. It all happened so fast though that I didn't get to record it, and she hasn't done it since. I think she is figuring out that she can make other noises, which is awesome to hear. She has a very cute laugh. When I get it recorded I will post it.

Almost 3 months (11 weeks 4 days)

Paige is almost 3 months.. this coming Saturday, I cannot believe it. She is learning and discovering new things everyday. Here is a list of a few things she is doing now:
*Smiling all the time now
*Recognizing Mom and Dads Voice in a room of people
*Started Laughing (The best ever, Makes it all worth it)
*Will play with her own hands and if I put a toy in her hand she will move it all around.
*Is taking baths in the big girl tub now, she is too long to take sink baths now.
*She skipped her early morning feeding 2 nights in a row which was nice but then went back to wanting to eat that bottle.. I think it will be broke soon though.
*She is sleeping 9-10 hrs at night. But she starts to get really restless between 2-4am so that is why I am giving her a bottle just so I can go back to sleep.. lol! :)

She is just amazing, I love her so much. I am working on trying to get her to take her naps during the day in her room so she can get use to it and start sleeping in her own room at night probably in the next month or so. I am having trouble with her not taking long enough naps, she wants to sleep and hour at the most at one time. Then she is tired after being up for an hour or two. If she would take a 2 hrs nap she would be way better.. i know it taken time. Just hard on her and me.
This last Saturday my mom and dad watched her for the evening for the first time while Ben and I went to his nephew (Devins) Bday party. It was pretty hard on me because my mom hasn't watch a little one in forever so it just made me nervous. But everything went okay. We are going to be leaving her with my parents over night in a couple of weeks for our anniversary and that will be hard for me I am sure. Haven't left her for a long period of time yet.

2 month Apt + Shots

Well we had out shots yesterday, she did really good she cried for a second. (Mom had a bottle ready because it was time for her to eat anyways lol!) She got a small fever that night after her shots so had to give her Tylenol.. she just wanted to be a snuggle bug.

I cannot believe she is 2 months already.. everyday is just so amazing, I love being a mom and being able to stay home is the best thing ever.
I see her doing new things every week.. she is such a smart girl. Makes me so happy :)

9 Weeks

We went to Paiges Great Grandma and Great Grandpas house on Sat. it was the first time they have met/seen Paige.

7 Weeks Old

Paige was offically 7 weeks old last Saturday, I cannot believe how time has flown by. She has grown and advanced so much in the past week it is amazing to watch.
Here is a list of some things she is doing now:
*Cooing
*Smiling more and more
*Smiles when she sees mom and dad
*Follows us out of the room when laying/sitting down
*laughing/talking in her own way

I am suppose to be getting her 1 month pictures from Rich this week cannot wait to see them all. The samples he has sent me are amazing.
Paige is taking a nap in her crib for the first time and has been asleep now for an hour and a half so it has worked out perfect today, hopefully I can keep this schedule going. She is such an easy baby most of the time I am really blessed.

6 Weeks Old

Paige was 6 weeks old yesterday.. time has flown by and she does something new almost every single day. It is crazy watching her develop. Here are some random pictures I have taken over the past week.

She is so much fun and I love every single day! I am so happy and very lucky that I get to stay home and enjoy it all. I would not change a thing in my life right now.

She's Here...

She's Here!!! My precious little girl! Born on June 18, 2011 at 3:38pm. Weighted 7 lbs, 10 oz and 19 1/4".
Her agar score was a 9 and a 10, no jaundice. She is BEAUTIFUL!!!
I went into the hospital at 1am on Saturday and had her at 3:38pm that afternoon. My water broke at 6:30am. Overall it went really fast for me.
The delivery was pretty rough for me because i didn't get my epidural till I was a 7, due to the anesthesiologist having all kinds of emergencies and I was put on the back burner, so that was the worst part. If I would of received it earlier everything would of been great. But she was very healthy and no problems at all so I am very thankful for that.
I have attached some pictures and videos for everyone to enjoy. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone that came to the hospital to see us, I don't remember everything but thank you to the ones that scratched my back, rubbed my hand and was there. Also a big Thanks and I love you to my husband, he was awesome through the whole thing, he held my hand through out and kept cold wash clothes going for my head because it was helping me with my comfort level.

Updates

Okay I know it has been a long time since I have wrote anything in my blog, almost a month. Here is what has been going on....
I have been super busy just with everyday life stuff, getting everything completely ready for Paige's arrival, Dr's appointments, spending extra time with my love and family.

On 6/1/11 I went to another follow up obgyn appointment, it went pretty good. I had the Dr check to see if I was dilated because I have been cramping and having a lot of contractions (I was pretty sure that's what they were lol!) He said that I am dilated to a 2, that was kind of exciting to hear because that meant that I am beginning the delivery process. I weighted 134 pounds and measured where I should be. I asked how big Paige was and he would not tell me exactly except that she was growing. You could tell that he was doing alot of thinking and told us to do alot of walking, stair climbing and sex to see if we can get everything moving forward. (Ben was really excited about the sex part, he said I told you so..) Whatever! I have my next appointment this next Friday we will see what the Dr says, he acted like he was going to schedule to get induced if she does not come real soon.

What has happened in the week in between my appointments:
I have been having more and more contractions. We have been walking everyday and I have been bouncing and stretching on my moms exercise ball. Ben's mom is coming out this week to be here for the delivery. On Wed. in the middle of the night I had leaked alot of fluid and was really nervous that it was amniotic, so was really anxious to go to my Dr's apt to see what he said.

On 6/10/11 I had my next obgyn appointment, I was a little nervous I have to admit because i was thinking all week that he was going to induce so I have been real anxious to see what he says. Well he checked me again and I am still dilated to a 2. The Cervix has softened a little bit more which is good, but he said "you wont be having her this weekend." I was bummed to hear all of that. I told the Dr that I had been leaking, so he checked by doing a swab and said it is either not enough on the swab or it is not amniotic fluid. He wants to see me this next Friday and if I do not have her by then, then on Sat he is going to induce. :(
Really hope I have have her on my own this week.
The Dr also sent me across the street to the hospital to have an ultra sound done to check the fluid around her just because I said I was leaking and also to have a belly monitor put on to see/monitor my contractions. The belly monitor said that I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes but very mild. Every time that I was having a contraction Paige's heart rate would increase some and my stomach would flatten out right at my belly button. (that is pretty funny looking). The ultrasound showed that my amniotic fluid was 8.4. The normal should be 10-12, so I was under the normal. The Dr would normally admit if it was 8. So I was a little nervous about that because obviously I am leaking and it was pretty close to admitting and I was shocked that he did not want me to go get retested in a few days just to make sure it had not gone down more but he didn't say anything.
So I left the hospital. Ben decided that he was going to start his vacation now since the baby could come anytime and also because his mom is here. So it has been really nice having him home.

On 6/11/11 I woke up this morning with Horrible back and hip pain, I was in tears. Ben felt so bad, he was so sweet to me he rubbed both for me. Then just had a bad day all day, did not feel good day.. Then in the evening I had horrible contractions. Ben was timing them they were every 5 to 7 minutes and anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 and half minutes so I thought between waking up with my back and hips hurting and then the contractions almost dead on that I was for sure going to have her tonight. I went to bed to take a nap and the next thing I knew the contractions completely stopped... grrrr! so irritating.

On 6/12/11 Felt okay today didn't do too much. In the evening again I had horrible contraction about the same as last night.. and again it turned into nothing! They stopped when I was going to bed. I cannot believe this. I am so uncomfortable and ready to have her and she is just not having it.

Well that has been my excitingness the last couple of weeks.. I am now hoping that she is going to come in the next 4 days or the Dr is going to induce.. I am really hoping that I can do it on my own but so far doesn't look like it.. trying to stay positive, but it is kind of hard. The sooner she gets here the longer Ben's mom will be able to spend more time with her before she has to leave which I know she would love. And now Ben is on vacation too and he would like her to get here so he can spend as much time with her before he goes back to work in 3 weeks.

So only one thing to say right now.. HURRY UP PAIGE!!! Everyone is ready! lol!! :)

36 Weeks

Well I am almost 36 weeks, on Wednesday.. and I am about ready to have my little girl, I am more and more uncomfortable everyday that passes. Have absolutely no energy and my whole body just hurts all the way around. (hips, feet, back, braxton hicks, etc..) Lol!! Not to mention that she is a "Monster" in there, she is so busy just moving around/adjusting that It is very uncomfortable, you can see all the waves and pretty much figure out all her "Parts" that are moving. :-) My next appointment is Monday and then after that my appointments will be every week.. its getting super close, kind of scary. I just worry about the delivery and also how it is going to be with the changes in our lives. But on the other hand very excited.

Well I hope everyone is doing well and had a good weekend. I am going to go and continue doing my scrapbooking and getting Paige's room finalized.

What is new...

Well It has been a while since I have been on to post any new updates.. I have been super busy and just haven't had a chance to get on. Here is what has been going on the past couple of weeks.
Then I had an OBGYN apt follow up on April 11th, everything is going good.. no changes. Will be back in 2 weeks.

Ben and I starting doing Childbirth Classes on April 13th at Redlands Community Hospital every Wed. night for 4 weeks, we are going to be doing our last class this Wed. I am really happy that we are doing the class there has been a lot of helpful hints from day 1.. they give you information on the baby, what to expect until 1 years old, which has been really nice since I am a first time mom. I have been watching kids for years but I know it is going to be different with my own. We also got to take a tour of the hospital Maternity, ICU, C-Section and Regular delivery so we have an idea on where everything is at and details.. that was pretty cool to see everything.

April 20th I had my Cardiology apt to go over my Echo that I had done on my heart and the Dr said she is really happy with everything, my heart is looking pretty good. She said the regurgitation has actually gone down to what they consider "Mild-Moderate" which is  a good thing. I do have a "Hole" in my valve and that is why I have the heart palpitations every once in a while still. She is going to put me on an antibiotic during labor just to make sure that I do not get any kind of infection because of my heart, just as a precaution. She doesn't want to see me until July now after I have Paige.. So that is really good news, was excited to hear all of that.

April 21st Ben and I did Maternity Pictures with Rich. We had them done in a field in Yucaipa. I cannot wait to see them.

April 25th had another follow up OBGYN apt and everything is still going good, I am measuring right where I should be.. He changed my Due Date to June 16th which I wasn't too happy about but I am staying with the 8th because I know I am going to be early just have that feeling. He was questioning the last day of my period and everything so that is why he changed it and thinks I am a week off.. whatever!

April 29th was Adrienne and Dan's Wedding Anniversary Party in Temecula.. that was a lot of fun, I was exhausted by the end of the night but we had a lot of fun. Rich (Our photographer that we used at our wedding and for all my pictures) did there's so I know they are going to turn out amazing for Adrienne.
We also got our Maternity Cd from Rich I cannot wait to go home to watch it.. :)

April 30th we had a BBQ at the house because Ben got the weekend off for the first time in over 3 months because he has class and range during the week so they scheduled adjusted so they wouldn't have to pay him ot. It was really nice to have him home for the weekend.

Well that has been my busy last few weeks.. It should be a little slower now (I hope) especially since I am getting farther along I need to be doing nothing so I don't have any early complications.

32 Week Dr's Apt.

Had my follow up appointment on Monday, everything looks good. My belly measures 31", and weigh 121 pounds Dr. says I am right on track.
I have been having a lot of pain down below so I talked to her about that and she said that is normal it is my ligaments stretching/moving.. well let me tell you this "normal" HURTS!! lol!!

Next appointment is on 2 weeks.. scary but exciting how close it is getting only 56 days to go.. and I actually think it is going to be sooner then that because I am sure she will be here early. Crazy to think about.

I am doing good, she is Very active.. cannot stress that enough. Ben thinks it is funny but cool how much she is moving around.. her little elbows, feet etc are very sharp. This is when I wish I was a little bit bigger so I do not feel everything. :-) She is head down for sure and keeps her feet all up in and under my ribs and I am waiting for the rib kick.. have not got it yet but waiting for it.. she already likes to wiggle her toes all in between my ribs and skin it is the weirdest feeling ever.

Baby Shower

Had my Baby Shower on Sat. April 9th at my mom's house. Everything turned out beautiful. Had about 20 people show up so had a good crowd even with the snow on the ground! I cannot believe it snowed in April and on the weekend of my shower of course. The original plan was to have it outside/inside but had to change that with the crazy weather we had. But everything worked out just fine and I had a GREAT time, got a lot of gifts.. I have such great friends and family I am very fortunate. :) Below are some pictures from the shower..

4D Ultrasound

We had a 4D Ultrasound done this last week, it was the best thing I have done yet since I have been pregnant. It is definetly worth the money, the pictures turn out awesome and to see our little girl move all over is really cool too. :) I have posted a few of the pictures below. The package we chose we got 15 black and white pictures and a cd. She loves to have her feet all in her face, it looks like in a few of the pictures that she has a black eye already from kicking herself in the face so much.. this has been the joke ever since we got the ultrasound done.

The Past Week

          Well this week there has been a lot going on. This last Friday Ben & I have been married for 6 months already I cannot believe it, has gone by fast already. Everyday I realize how lucky I am to be married to him, we have grown together in so many different ways, one very strong way has been being pregnant, it has brought us closer together then ever. We have been together for 10 years so we have experienced so much together already and look forward to so much more in the future.

            The obgyn has put me on Iron because I am anemic. Let me tell you this Iron pill is the worst, this is my 2nd type of Iron pill because the first one I only took for a couple of days and could not keep taking it because it made me so sick to my stomach.. horrible. Well this new one seems to be a little bit better only have to take it once a day, at night, but it still makes me feel all nasty and it goes right through me within 2 hours of taking it. I am hoping that my body will adjust to it real soon so that way I wont have to stop taking this one too. I know it is needed but oh man it is not a nice pill.

            The past couple of days she has been so active it is crazy. It is a different active though, she is not kicking/hitting as much I think because she doesn't have as much room too but she is moving around a lot more by doing more slow surface moving. So we are able to see her move around, it is pretty amazing. We both guess what body part it was, it is pretty funny. She gets the hiccups at least once a day and we are able to feel them.

          Today my hips have been killing me.. I think I am "Widening" getting ready to have her. I have to say that it is the most uncomfortable thing. I have felt like I am an old lady all day because I cannot walk. lol! I hope this doesn't continue because I am going to be taking Tylenol like crazy if that is the case.

Getting a lot accomplished

Sorry it has been a little while since I have posted anything new, have been pretty busy getting projects done before my little girl gets here. Trying to organize my house and get some things done that I have been wanting to do since we moved in over 2 years ago.. sad hah!! Time flys by and then never find the time to do these things. :)
One thing I really wanted to work on was our wedding and honeymoon scrapbooks and I have not even started.. suck. I have to order new books and just dont have the extra money to do so. I will get to them eventually.
But I am getting a lot of other things done so I guess that is the positive thing to look at.

Well have to go I am making St. Patricks Day dinner and have to go work on it more.. :) Hope everyone has a good day!

Family Day

My brother and his new girlfriend came over to mom and dads house today. It was really nice meeting her, she seems to be a real nice person for my brother, I am very happy that he has found a new girl. They both seem to be very Happy together, I am hoping that this will be a good thing for him. Only time will tell.
She is a nurse in the delivery room, perfect timing for me.. if i have any questions or problems she said i can call her whenever. :)
The only thing that could of made this day better is if my love was home to enjoy the family too. Get tired of his crazy schedule.. so hard sometimes.

ER Visit

Well yesterday I had to go to ER my heart rate was extremely high, it was up to almost 200 bpm. They did 2 EKG's and gave me medication through IV.. wound up being there from 11am to 3pm. They were going to admit me to monitor my heart and then decided that I was doing okay and just sent me home on a new heart medication. I go to the cardiologist on Monday so I think that is one of the reasons why they were okay with sending me home yesterday.
It was a pretty long exhausting day.. I was really worried about Paige but she turned out to be okay the whole time, they kept listening to her heart.

Today I have just been relaxing and doing nothing because I still do not have my full energy back. Ben has been real sweet to me, taking care of anything that I need so I don't have to do anything/get up.
Feeling much better as the day has gone on.
Thank you everyone for checking in on me, it is really nice to know that I have such a loving family/friends that care so much.

OBGYN Check up 25 Weeks

Well I went to my OBGYN Apt today and everything went GREAT! Asked the Dr. a lot of questions this time.. My Placentia is where it should be now which is a sigh of relief I was pretty worried about that and then the fluid behind her head is perfect nothing to be concerned about. Everything looks great over all at this time.
The Dr. was trying to listen to her heart today and she was not having it.. it was pretty funny she kicked the Dr. :) Thats daddy's little additude girl. haha! She was all active the Dr could not believe it. But she finally was able to get it, and sounded good.
My next appointment is in a month, normally they start doing every 3 weeks right about now but since everything is looking so good they are okay with going monthly still for now.

I also had my Glucose Test done.. that stuff isn't so bad, the only thing that was a little hard was getting it down within 5 minutes. And then having to sit there for an hour.. I was pretty lucky that the lab was not too busy so didnt' have to deal with annoying people. So all in all it was good.

Work layed me off

Well Wed. Jeff came into work and said that they are going to have to let me go.. Friday will be my last day.
I was speechless.. Didn't know what to say, I had a feeling it was coming because we have been so slow but I didn't think it was going to happen this fast and how he delivered it to me was so hurtful. I have been working for this company for almost 3 years and to give me a 2 day notice just to me wasn't right.
So yesterday (Thursday) he came up to me and apologized for his delivery of telling me. Well I found out Kay the other owner had lit into him a little about how he handled the situation and it was nice to hear that I was not the only one that thought it was pretty rude.. So he apologized, so that made me feel a little better but still doesn't change the fact of only giving me a 2 day notice.
Well on Wed. Ben was able to get some information for me as far as unemployment and disability with being pregnant. I thought I was going to get screwed on disability because they let me go.. but we found out that I am going to be able to get both still.. so I am really happy to hear that. :) Every little bit will help, because there is no way with the economy and being pregnant that someone is going to hire me right now.
We when I get off today I will be applying for my unemployment.

I am actually pretty excited to be getting to stay at home.. this is what I really wanted overall to be able to stay home with my daughter. We will see how long I am able to collect the unemployment and how long I will actually be able to stay home for before I need to start getting another job.. not sure what I am going to do about another job but I am not going to stress or think about it now because there is enough going on right now and not going to go there.. :)
I am going to be able to get the rest of her bedroom ready and then I am going to be a scrap booking fool because I am going to ketch up on the past stuff.. have to do the wedding album, honeymoon and get one started for Paige too. Excited. It is going to take a while to get it all done but I am determined to do it now that I can.

Oh yeah.. Thank you everyone for the support this week it has been a little rough for me especially with being pregnant and all the up and down emotions.

25 Weeks Along

Well I am 25 weeks today. It is crazy how fast it is going by. I have been doing ok overall I think, I have been having some back and leg pain but have been going to the Chiropractor which has been helping a lot. I am starting to not sleep very good which sucks, cannot get comforatable and then I am exausted by the end of the day. I have been kind of spoiled lately with Ben being off weekdays he makes dinner and then I usually hang out with my parents on the weekends so then my mom makes dinner and I am only having to help a little which is really nice. Especially with having to energy because of not sleeping.
 I know I should be exercizing but I just do not have time with working and now no energy.. sucks. Cannot attend any classes such as yoga because I am at work when they are held or they are late at night and just don't want to go real late.. So I am just trying to walk on the weekends so at least it is something.

I am having the glucose test done on Monday, not really looking forward to this, I have heard that it is nasty. We will see.

Rough Day Yesterday

Well yesterday was a really rough day for me.. My baby girl made me feel horrible all day. She was re-arranging my stomach all day and had pain all over.. my back,sides, stomach, lower areas etc.. it was horrible.
It was all I could do to stay at work all day. I got home and layed down and then ate dinner and then back to laying down.. sucked.

But today I am feeling so much better.. It is crazy after having a rough day that the next day normally you feel 100%.. and like a new you. It is still early so don't want to jinks myself but doing good so far..
She is moving around like crazy so hopefully she did her construction of my stomach all yesterday and now she has more room to move around and that is why she is so active today. lol!
So glad it is Friday.. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

24 Week Ultrasound

Here is the ultrasound from Monday.. it went really well. It is still a Girl, thank goodness. I have been buying all girl stuff. The ultrasound tech tried to get a picture of her face but she was not having it. She was keeping her head facing down and then when she would face up she would cover her face. Brat! But it was pretty funny towards the end of the ultrasound she was making these "fish type mouth openings" and the tech said "oh she is swallowing and then said wait.. she has hiccups" she went down to her tummy and you could see it going in and out it was pretty funny and cool to see. I couldn't feel it, but i am sure i will be able to soon.
